Dear Prospective Member,

Welcome to National Law Enforcement Canine Organization. NLECO was conceived in 2003 and since then our membership has grown every year. Based in South Carolina we have members in many other states and now ready to expand out regions nationwide. We invite you to become our newest member.

Feel free to apply to become a Regional Representative for your area. We ask that you have at least 5 years of active law enforcement canine experience.

NLECO’s certifications are challenging but not so tough that they cannot be conquered by a confident canine team. The certifications have been designed to reflect an accurate and fair assessment of your canines ability in various disciplines. So go ahead and view our certification page and begin to take the next step forward in canine proficiency. This past year we changed much of our certification standards to reflect the more practical aspects of the law enforcement canine.
We will continue to be proactive and make changes that will raise the bar on the efficiency of the law enforcement canine to keep up with the constantly changing world of law enforcement.
